How the bulletin board works
Is it free to post?
Yes. Posting on the St. Thomas community bulletin board is free for residents, local groups, and small businesses. No account needed, just a working email address.
What can I post?
Garage sales and yard sales, fundraisers, lost and found pets, community events, club meetings, and items for sale or free to a good home. If it matters to people in St. Thomas and Elgin County, it belongs on the board.
How long does my post stay up?
We schedule it for you. Event posts go up 7 days before the event and come down the day after it ends. Posts without an event date run for a week. Your post appears on the community bulletin board and can also rotate onto the LocVox St. Thomas homepage, which local residents check every day.
How do posts get approved?
A real person reviews every post before it goes live, usually the same day. You confirm your email first, then once we approve it your post goes straight onto our Facebook page, and onto the board on its scheduled day. We email you when that happens.
