About the LocVox Newsroom.

The LocVox Newsroom is the reporting desk of LocVox St. Thomas. It covers the stories that shape daily life here: city council decisions, development projects, local institutions, and the things nobody else takes the time to explain.

How our reporting works

Every article starts with primary documents: council agendas and staff reports, official releases, planning applications, and other original records. We read the full documents, not summaries of summaries.

Our newsroom pairs AI-assisted research and drafting with human editorial control. Software helps us gather documents, check facts against sources, and prepare drafts. Every fact in every article must trace back to a named source before a draft goes anywhere. Then a human takes over: every article is reviewed, edited, and approved by Anthony Zruna before it publishes. Nothing is ever published automatically.

Each article ends with links to the documents it was built from, so you can read exactly what we read and judge for yourself.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we fix it quickly and say so plainly in the corrected article, following our Corrections Policy. Spotted an error? Email stthomas@locvox.ca.

Why we do this

St. Thomas is growing, and many of the decisions shaping the city are made in documents most people never see. We think residents deserve to know what is in them.
